It’s been a roller coaster of a season for the Golden State Warriors as the franchise aims to potentially repeat for another championship.
The team has noticeably missed Andrew Wiggins over the past several months. But, Golden State remains in the playoff hunt.
With that said, it sounds like the Warriors’ title hopes might just be reborn thanks to the latest update regarding Wiggins.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Andrew Wiggins “is nearing a return to the team and is expected to be back early this week.”

This is huge news for the Warriors. As Woj points out, they’re currently ranked sixth in the Western Conference.
Although they’re likely going to be a low seed for this year’s playoffs, all Golden State needs is that little extra push to put the rest of the league on notice.
Wiggins returning to the lineup could be exactly what this team needs to become a true title contender once again.
It’s currently unknown exactly why the star small forward has been away from the game for so long.
There are rumors regarding his personal life, however, nothing is confirmed.
Perhaps more information will come to light eventually, as we’re sure Wiggins will be asked about it the next time he’s interviewed.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are receiving a massive boost for the postseason. Although, they haven’t technically clinched a playoff spot just yet.
Golden State is only half of a game ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans as of this publishing. Both of those teams are in the running to participate in the play-in tournament.
We’ll see how it plays out, but having Andrew Wiggins back on the roster is only good news for the Warriors.
