The Washington Commanders have already achieved a pretty remarkable feat before even starting their training camp for the upcoming NFL season.

According to data provided by the Commanders, the franchise has already exceeded their total revenue from ticket and suite sales compared to the entirety of 2022.

The Commanders’ ticket sales have seen a staggering increase of 52% year-over-year, reflecting a growing enthusiasm among fans to support the team under their new ownership.

In addition, suite sales have been so promising that they are on track to double last year’s figures, further bolstering the team’s financial outlook.

The boost in revenue comes after the NFL owners approved the historic sale of the Washington Commanders for a record-breaking $6.05 billion.

This purchase signaled the end of the era under previous owner, Dan Snyder, who had faced widespread criticism for incompetence and various issues surrounding the team.

Fans are now hopeful that a new era has dawned in Washington with the arrival of a new ownership group led by Josh Harris, offering a fresh start and renewed hope for the Commanders.

Notably, the team’s recent history under Snyder has been marred by controversy and investigations. Over the past three years, the Commanders have faced scrutiny in seven separate investigations. One of these investigations concluded recently, resulting in a historic $60 million fine for Dan Snyder.

The combination of off-field issues and on-field struggles has left a sour taste for fans who have longed for a turnaround.

During Snyder’s tenure as the owner, the team’s performance on the field left much to be desired. With only six playoff appearances in 24 years, the Commanders managed to win just two postseason games and maintained an overall record of 166-226-2.

As the Commanders gear up for their training camp, the excitement among fans is palpable. The significant increase in ticket and suite sales demonstrates the early signs of Harris’ positive influence on the franchise.
