The long nightmare of Daniel Snyder’s ownership of the Washington Commanders owner for fans of the franchise appears to be finally over. And, fans are celebrating.

On Friday, the sale of the Commanders to Philadelphia 76ers owner and businessman Josh Harris was approved for a reported price tag of $6 billion. That’s around a $1.5 billion more than the previous record for a sale price in the NFL.

There were a ton of scandals in the Dan Snyder era. One of those was with the team of the name, with the name changing three times, from the original name to Washington Football Team to the Washington Commanders in the last three years. But, some fans want to see the name changed again, as they aren’t pleased with “Commanders.” And, it seems like Harris would be open to it.

Here are some of the suggestions by fans. many of these were considered prior to the team being named the Commanders in Febuary of 2022.

I’m not a fan of the franchise. But, if it were my choice, I’d go with something related to the Hogs, which is what the team’s outstanding offensive line was called during their heyday in the 1980s and 1990s.
