Wheel of Fortune is an American institution, having aired for 49 years. On Thursday night, a syndicated episode gave us one of the funniest moments in the show’s history.

A puzzle featuring four words of four, two, three, and four letters was featured a toss-up during Thursday night’s game. What happened was pure hilarity.

Take a look, and turn your volume up.

Oh, man. There’s a lot to unpack there. And, if you’re thinking of the famous South Park clip, I am too.
First of all, can the contestant count and spell? The first word is four letters! the word “right” has five letters in it. How can that possibly be the guess?
Also, in the history of Wheel of Fortune, has there ever been a puzzle with as suggestive a solution as that guess? My guess is, there’s never been a correct answer that suggestive.
The best part might be the crowd reaction. These people likely thought they were going to see one of the last Wheel of Fortune tapings in the illustrious career of host Pat Sajack. They did see that, but they also saw one of the funniest moments in the countless episodes of Wheel of Fortune.
