Bryce Young could very well be the first player off the board in the upcoming NFL Draft. The former Alabama quarterback sits atop a number of draft boards after a star-studded career in Tuscaloosa.

Much of the praise received comes not only from his play on the field, but also his calmness and composure during action. One former Crimson Tide teammate warns that he’s got the NFL world fooled.

Will Anderson, who could very well be the first defender selected in the draft, played three seasons with Young. The Alabama stars won a pair of SEC titles while also appearing in two College Football Playoffs. As freshmen, they were members of the 2020 national championship winning squad.

Now, though, they’ll be foes.

Both players are likely to be selected within the first five picks, with a legitimate possibility of going 1-2.

Anderson made an appearance on the Good Morning Football show to preview the upcoming draft, and he let viewers in on something they might not know about the future NFL signal caller.

When asked if Bryce Young is a big trash talker, Anderson responded, “All the time.”

“Don’t let him fool you,” the defender continued. “He comes over like a real nice guy, but when we get between the lines, he’s gonna talk a little bit.”

Young is known for that quiet demeanor and level head, but he can apparently be a bit fiery with his opponents (and in this case, his practice teammates).

Fans were quick to react online, posting responses to social media.

One person wrote, “I love it,” while another said, “He’s going to be more outgoing now that he’s graduated from the Nick Saban School of Football.”

The passer is the favorite to go No. 1 in the NFL Draft to the Panthers, who traded up to pick a quarterback. Many believe Young is Carolina’s top option as they’ve already begun laying out their plan to bulk Young up.

Day 1 of the draft will kick off April 25th. Bryce Young won’t be waiting long.
