Before entering the UFC, William Knight was seen as one of the top prospects of the sport.
He earned a contract with the organization after two impressive knockouts in Dana White’s Contender Series.
Since then though, it’s been a downhill spiral for Knight. He’s had seven fights in the UFC, losing four of them.
On top of that, his last performance against Marcin Prachnio led to him being absolutely roasted by fight fans and the UFC Twitter account itself.
Now, it appears the organization is officially releasing William Knight after his incredibly boring outing, per MMA Fighting.

To be fair, Knight’s contract with the organization came to an end after his last fight. Maybe the UFC was planning on releasing William Knight anyway.
However, his boring outing against Prochnia certainly didn’t help. It’s never a good sign when the organization roasts you mid-fight. Especially considering they never do that.

So, William Knight’s future is up in the air now. If he wants to continue fighting there are still plenty of options on the table. He could potentially thrive at Bellator, the PFL, or even Bare Knuckle FC.
But, after going 3-4 in seven fights in the UFC and putting on an incredibly boring outing in the last fight of his contract, William Knight will no longer be a part of the organization.
We just hope he finds a landing spot soon and makes a comeback. Wouldn’t that be something?
