With the NBA trade deadline less than 24 hours away, the entire basketball world’s focus is on a potential trade that would send Ben Simmons to the Brooklyn Nets and James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The buzz around the possible trade has been growing for quite some time now and more fuel was added to the fire when ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported the Nets and Sixers are in “the deal zone” to possibly get the trade done before the deadline.

Windhorst’s report makes sense, especially if the report about Harden desperately wanting out of Brooklyn is true. If the 76ers don’t give up too much beyond Simmons, most agree that Philly would be the big winner in the potential trade.

Adrian Wojnarowski, however, isn’t buying any of this. Woj, who is undoubtedly the NBA insider, completely shut down his fellow co-worker’s report about a possible deal.

According to Woj, there is “no negotiations going on” between the Sixers and the Nets.

Windhorst and Woj are clearly talking to different sources when it comes to this possible trade, as they should, but Wojnarowski completely refuting his colleague’s report seems a bit harsh.

Woj is no stranger to letting his opinion be known. Back in 2020, he sent Missouri Senator Josh Hawley an email that read “fu-k you” after Hawley suggested the NBA allow players to wear pro-cop and pro-military messaging on their jerseys.
