So far, the NCAA women’s college basketball Final Four tickets are outselling the men’s college basketball Final Four tickets and it isn’t even close.

Not only that, the women’s college basketball Final Four tickets are selling at significantly higher prices as well.

According to ticketing app TickPick, they have so far sold six times as many tickets for the women’s Final Four compared to the men’s Final Four.

TickPick also shared that NCAA men’s college basketball Final Four tickets are selling for $260, while tickets to the Championship are going for $196.

Meanwhile, NCAA women’s college basketball Final Four tickets are being sold for $472, and Championship game tickets are selling for $424 – more than twice the price of the men’s Championship game.

The reason for the differences this year appear to come down to one thing: the players.

With Caitlin Clark of Iowa; Angel Reese, Hailey Van Lith and company at LSU; Cameron Brink of Stanford; Aaliyah Edwards and Paige Bueckers of UConn; JuJu Watkins with the USC Trojans, Notre Dame’s Hannah Hidalgo; Madison Booker of Texas; Elizabeth Kitley and Georgia Amoore of Virginia Tech; UCLA’s Lauren Betts; and Kamilla Cardoso and crew at South Carolina, there is no shortage of star power on the women’s side.

Caitlin Clark alone has seen her Iowa Hawkeyes sell out 33 games this season. The only two games on their schedule that did not reach full capacity happened during a tournament in Florida over Thanksgiving.

She has also been involved in numerous record-setting viewership games including when she surpassed Pete Maravich’s all-time Division I scoring record against Ohio State.

That game had the largest audience for a regular season women’s game on any network since UConn-Tennessee in January 1999. It was also the second highest-rated college basketball games all season, men or women, and was the sixth most-watched basketball game of any kind this season, including the NBA.

This year, with Clark involved, was also the first time ever that the women’s Big Ten tournament was sold out.

Considering the fervor fans have shown this season over teams like Iowa, LSU, South Carolina and others, it’s little wonder that tickets for their Final Four and Championship game are going fast, and for a premium price.
