Math is a cruel, cruel necessity. In the wise words of The Talking Heads, “facts are simple and facts are straight, facts are lazy and facts are late, facts all come with points of view, Facts don’t do what I want them to.”

At the end of the day, the scoreboard don’t lie.

Deep in my soul, I *want* Kansas to have a good football program. They’re continuously one of the most dominate programs in D-1 hoops and Lawrence, Kansas is a fun little town. But on the gridiron, KU is more rock flop Jayhawk than rock chalk, year over year.

New stats have officially confirmed that Kansas is, indeed, the worst college football team of the playoff era.

Tom Fornelli from CBS Sports just posted the best and worst point differentials. He’s on a roll, posting all sorts of fascinating best and worst stats about D-1 programs on Twitter…

The numbers don’t lie; in fact, they tell quite the story about the worst college football team.

No surprise about the programs showing the most dominance…

‘Bama

Ohio State

Clemson.

And the worst? Ouch, Kansas… Ouch.

Statistically, the news doesn’t get any better for Kansas football. Fornelli has more stats that show just how depressing things are for Kansas football.

The only team with a bigger losing streak that Kansas football New Mexico State.

And it certainly doesn’t get better from there…

Sucks to suck, Kansas.

But maybe 2018 is the season things start to rebound and you’ll get yourself out of the gutter that comes with being the worst college football team in America.

In David Beaty we trust.

Can you imagine how Lawrence would be if Kansas managed to squeak out a team over .500 and get a bowl berth?

Lawdy.
