The WWE kept it classy while acknowledging Sting’s retirement from wrestling.

On Sunday night, Sting officially entered the wrestling ring for the last time in an epic wrestling match on AEW’s Revolution.

After the match, the 64-year-old wrestler thanked fans for following his career in which he wrestled in the WCW, WWE, TNA, and AEW.

On Monday Night, WWE’s Michael Cole and Pat McAfee acknowledged Sting’s retirement with a classy message despite the fact the legendary wrestler worked for a rival promotion in AEW.

Michael Cole: “I wanna send our congratulations out to another great champion. After nearly 40 years, the great Sting has retired from professional wrestling. Thanks for the memories. Congratulations to Sting.”

Pat McAfee: “Absolutely epic match last night.”
