Let’s Get This Girl 30K Retweets So A WWE Star Will Take Her To Prom Wearing Just A Singlet

Before New Day stole the title from Cesaro and Tyson Kidd on Sunday, Big E was stealing the hearts of high school girls on Twitter — well, at least one fan named Andre’a.

Okay, it’s not what it sounds like. Unless it sounds like a Totino’s pizza sponsored Q & A before Extreme Rules.

Big E promptly responded…

When Andre’a asked him to go to prom, his response gave her more cause to clap. Not only did Big E agree to go if she got 30,000 retweets, he promised to wear a formal singlet. The rest of us observing on Twitter took this as a dare, and now anything is possible. Yes, even a formal singlet.

I sat down with Andre’a, a high school senior who declined to give her last name, to talk about her tweet and potential prom plans. According to her, she was inspired to ask after another fan proposed marriage.

But it wasn’t until Andre’a asked Melissa Joan Hart for help that her tweet started getting real heat.

What would be more of a heel move — going to a high school prom as a 29-yr-old man in spandex and a bow-tie, or bailing on a social media stunt? Regardless of what he does, Andre’a sees Big E as a face.

“They’re full of positivity, and I definitely dance and clap when they come out,” she told me, despite their recent turn.

While she needs a lot more retweets to reach her goal, her prom is not until the end of May. Andre’a might have time to reach it, but doesn’t expect much.

“I really don’t care if he comes with me. Just the fact that he acknowledged me was enough,” she said. “I’m still deciding if I want to go to prom or not.”

This might come as a relief to Big E, who’s now asking people to ignore the original tweet.

Andre’a is far from heartbroken. She has a few fantasy WWE dates in mind as backups, including Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler.

“But if I could go to prom with any WWE superstar my top pick is Shawn Michaels,” she confessed. Even Big E can’t compete with a sexy boy.
