Yadier Molina Had Peanut Butter Crackers Delivered to His Brother at Home Plate

José Molina and the Tampa Bay Rays were in St. Louis last night to take on Yadier Molina’s St. Louis Cardinals. The Brother vs. Brother story line was significantly less intriguing than usual due to Yadier’s residency on the disabled list.

But the Bros made things interesting in an unusual — albeit delicious — way.

Yadier commissioned his third base coach, Jose Oquendo, to deliver two packs of peanut butter crackers to home plate in the middle of the first inning. Apparently José works up an immediate appetite.

Not that he really needs a reason.

Peanut butter crackers are simply fantastic and anyone who feels otherwise is wasting oxygen.

The Rays backstop resisted the urge to immediately chow down the salty snack by putting them in his back pocket.

Ha! Take that, baseball haters. The sport isn’t so anaerobic that the players can eat while playing.

… Dammit.
