All eyes are on the New York Yankees right now as the team aims to re-sign Aaron Judge to a big contract. However, reports suggest things are going south between Judge and the organization. Especially after general manager, Brian Cashman handled the situation while receiving a contract extension.
According to Game Day MLB and Playoff Tanaka, Aaron Judge is reportedly upset with Brian Cashman. He isn’t happy with how the Yankees’ general manager made the contract offer public. Judge even claims he and Cashman agreed to “keep this between us,” in regard to the contract offer.
Yea, Aaron Judge is a San Francisco Giant after what Brian Cashman did here 😬

It’s not a good sign to have the superstar player you’re in contract talks with pissed off at you. Now, to make things a bit more complicated, the Yankees announced they re-signed Brian Cashman through the 2026 season.

Everything about this situation is spewing nothing but concern for New York. As Matt Schneidman points out, the Yankees just extended the guy that upset Aaron Judge in the middle of contract talks.
So Aaron Judge was pissed at Brian Cashman for publicly revealing the offer he turned down and then the Yankees extend Cashman while Judge is making his decision. Yeah I don’t feel good about this. Hope you enjoy him in San Francisco, @connorgrossman. Treat him well.

We’ll see how it plays out, but clearly, everyone believes the San Francisco Giants have a legitimate shot at signing the home run king. Maybe the Yankees can resolve the conflict, but only time will tell.
