Yoenis Cespedes Does Diving Crossbody Block On Clueless Fan In Stands To Catch A Foul Ball

Yoenis Cespedes continues to confound fans with his inconsistent and erratic play. Yo knows how valuable he is to the New York Mets in 2016, but will occasionally have no regard for his own health or the safety of others.

On a can-of-corn pop-up, there’s a good chance Cespedes will casually make a lazy wave of the glove and let the ball drop. Yet, on Wednesday, Yo donned his Superman cape and dove into the stands to catch a foul ball against the Miami Marlins. In the process, the Gold Glove winner completely crushed a grown man who was looking the other way.

The dude in the shades actually took it like a champ considering a 200 pound mountain of muscle mauled his body. Hat stayed on. Sunglasses stayed on. Deal with it.

Yo’s diving cross body block reminds me of the time Derek Jeter torpedoed into the seats and came up with a gash on his face. No, not that kind of gash. Come on, guy. Which foray into fans was more ferocious? Jeter led with his head, which would’ve come with a fine in today’s NFL.

This video might make the case for Cespedes staying in centerfield or it might just be the proof needed for the WWE to give Yo a buzz.
