Isaac Wilson, the youngest brother of Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, is carving out a pretty special career of his own. The four-star recruit in the Class of 2024 plays for Corner Canyon High School in Utah and is putting up ridiculous numbers.

Wilson, who took over the starting quarterback job last season, has completed 73 passes for 1,377 yards and 15 touchdowns with three interceptions. He also is second on the team in rushing with 273 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries.

The Chargers are 3-1 on the season, but the lone loss did not fall on Wilson’s shoulders. His offense rallied for 42 points in a 21-point loss to Las Vegas powerhouse Bishop Gorman.

Otherwise, Corner Canyon’s three wins are by a combined score of 148-46.

Wilson, who committed to play for the in-state Utes earlier this summer, has been balling. And to make it even more impressive, he has done so on a bad knee.

Last Monday, August 28, Wilson underwent a minor surgery to remove bone fragments from his knee. Although it was a simple, routine procedure, there are always concerns about complications and recovery.

Most of the time, even in a best case scenario, a knee cleanup requires at least seven days of recovery. Not for Wilson!

His mother, Lisa, suggested that her son take a week off.

Isaac Wilson has that DAWG in him.

Isaac did not listen to his mother and played a game on Saturday night — just five days after getting surgery — but promised not to run. He still ran.

Not only did Wilson play, he played well. The state’s top-ranked team beat Farmington Phoenix 42-3 and finished with four touchdowns through the air.

His connection with Tate Kjar, the coach’s son, was working all night.

Wilson and the Chargers will be back out on the field on Friday against the 4-0 Syracuse Titans. His stock only continues to rise!
