Zach Wilson’s days as a member of the New York Jets may be numbered.

According to a report from uStadium, the Jets are expecting “multiple” teams to be interested in trading for Wilson, whom the Jets selected with the #2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Despite being the team’s starting QB for the better part of the last three seasons, Wilson has not only failed to establish himself as a franchise quarterback but, at times, has looked like one of the biggest busts in NFL Draft history.

At this time, it is unclear which teams might be interested in acquiring Wilson’s services, and whether they’d see him as a rehabilitation project/potential starter or a career backup.

After finishing the 2023 season with a 7-10 record, the Jets will have the 10th overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, where they’ll likely be desperate to add some talent to their offensive line, which will almost surely get Aaron Rodgers hurt again if it isn’t improved.

At this time, teams expected to pursue quarterbacks in the offseason are the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Washington Commanders.

As for the Jets, they’ll undoubtedly be in the market for a higher-quality backup quarterback given the uncertainty surrounding Rodgers’ durability, given that the 40-year-old tore his Achilles after just four snaps on the MetLife turf last season.
