Zion Williamson’s future in the NBA is very much up in the air. It’s not that he is never going to play again, but nobody knows when he will actually be back on the court (he might rejoin the team this week), if he will be able to produce at a high level, or if he can stay healthy.
Over the past few weeks, the Pelicans star has been in Portland, Oregon going through rehabilitation treatment on his broken right foot. As of Sunday, it appears as though he is back in New Orleans for good.
Williamson was spotted throughout the city on multiple occasions and went on a (probably) unplanned PR tour around the Big Easy. His day started with church at Fifth Baptist in Uptown.

Williamson was taking pictures with everybody. Even people who are of status in the house of God.
Don’t think it’s a coincidence that Zion is wearing an AD turtle neck in gameday. 🐢 @adaniels33 pic.twitter.com/6fXcHW9DTE

He also stuck around after the service and was straight cheesing. There was definitely an uptick for Williamson’s cachet with the people of New Orleans.

A few hours later, after losing the jacket, Williamson was seen out at a pet store with his two dogs. They are as big as he is.
My girls mom sent her this picture to show her the dogs, not even realizing that’s Zion 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/7X7peb5Dox

Williamson is 6-foot-6. With his dogs standing on their hind legs, they are at least 4-foot-6, and the former No. 1 pick is so strong that he’s just handling them each with ease with only one hand.
Welcome back to the Big Easy, Zion!
