Thierry Henry is one of the greatest French and Premier League players of all-time. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored over 500 club goals in a career that saw him play for the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG, and Manchester United. Alexi Lalas is, well, Alexi Lalas.
Because the 2026 FIFA World Cup is being broadcast on Fox, that means that Alexi Lalas automatically gets a spot on the main broadcast team despite the fact that numerous USMNT players with greater legacies than him have since entered the broadcasting space.
Clint Dempsey, for example, has been working on the Champions League with CBS in recent years and is also a part of the Fox crew for this summer’s World Cup.
World Cup fans are getting the feeling that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is already fed-up with his fellow analyst Alexi Lalas
Nevertheless, Lalas’ presence persists and already seems to be wearing his co-hosts down, particularly Zlatan.
Rebecca Lowe is so good at her job. Her ultimate test will be keeping Zlatan from punching Alexi Lalas in the face.

I think… I think Zlatan might kill Alexi Lalas? There’s no way they last together on this desk another 37 days

I’m enjoying how Zlatan absolutely can’t stand Alexi Lalas and is not hiding his disdain for him.

Lalas making things personal by saying that Erling Haaland will have a greater legacy that Ibrahimovic if he has a “big World Cup” certainly didn’t help the situation.
‘If this man [Erling Haaland] has a big World Cup, boom, right to the top, even over this guy [Zlatan], I love you Z but I will take Haaland over you in terms of legendary status…’
What on earth was the point in Alexi Lalas telling this to Zlatan? 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/hcb4zCKZSW

The World Cup hasn’t even been on the air for a week, which means Zlatan has to put up with Alexi for another month.
