The Adidas Samba is one of the most iconic sneakers ever built. At its core, the Samba is an indoor soccer shoe but it’s become a streetwear staple throughout the years. With over 35 MILLION pairs sold worldwide since it was introduced in 1950, the Samba is Adidas‘ second best-selling shoe in history behind the Stan Smith.
Adidas Originals have been pumping out my favorites sneakers on the market for several years now primarily because I’m enamored with their Primeknit, Alphabounce, and UltraBOOST sneakers. Now, for the first time, the iconic Adidas Samba is getting the Primeknit treatment that the world has been waiting for.
When it comes time to look the Adidas Originals Primeknit Samba up on Adidas.com the style code for this sneaker is ‘CQ2218’ and the listed color will be ‘Core Black/Ftwr White/Core Red S17’. The Adidas Originals Samba Primeknit is expected to hit retailers next month and sell for $120. There have been iterations of the shoe in white with the three stripes in black but this is the first time the iconic black Samba with white stripes will be released with a full Primeknit sock upper.
