Budweiser Just Released A Limited-Edition Collection Of Vintage Budweiser Racing Team Apparel

Every red-blooded American knows that Budweiser and high stakes motor racin’ go together like apple pie and ice cream. In honor of P.L. Newman’s historic win at at Watkins Glen 40 years ago, Budweiser just announced the release of its limited edition, vintage-style Budweiser Racing Team apparel line inspired by the race apparel of the late ’70s.

It’s a great way to commemorate P.L. Newman’s 1979 win a Budweiser-schemed DATSUN 280ZX.

Here’s the coolest thing: Proceeds of the apparel will go to the International Motor Racing Research Center, an organization based at Watkins Glen International with the goal of preserving American motor racing history for future generations.

This Bud’s for P.L. Newman

Here are some specifics from the collection. Pretty much one of my favorite drips since our Budweiser x Moon Life Nate collection this year celebrating the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing.

And let’s not forget that car! Budweiser recently brought P.L. Newman’s 1979 Datsun racecar back to Watkins Glen, 40 years after his historic win there.

They even ran Newman’s car in a parade lap of the world-famous track, participating in the Grand Prix Festival and recreating the legendary parties at the Seneca Lodge.

So badass. Racin’ for life.
