We’ve got a hunch that you’re a fan of Mother Earth, right? Whether that means doing your part by reducing, reusing, recycling — yep, just like that song said back in the day — you do your part to make sure things are as sustainable as possible. If that’s all you want to do, cool, because every little bit counts.

The good folks over at OluKai shoes and sandals took things to another level, though, because they created an entire collection of shoes, the Liko Collection, that is all about Mama Earth. How? The entire Liko Collection is a small-batch collection of shoes that are hand-dyed with plants from Hawai’i — the pristine spot where all OluKai shoes get inspiration from.

Just how unique are the limited edition Liko Collection from OluKai shoes and sandals? Rather than just spew off a bunch of interesting features about the shoes, take a look at the craftsmanship and care that it takes to make each pair in the video below.

Pretty cool, right? Combining artisanal craftsmanship from Hawai‘i and Brazil, the Liko Collection’s 100 percent natural dying process uses plants found in Hawai’i, like yellow hibiscus, koa, and eucalyptus. Once applied, the shoes come out with one-of-a-kind tones and variations that soften over time, so you’re literally wearing shoes that nobody else has.

The entire process to create the Liko Collection might be a little detailed and extreme, but, hey, OluKai shoes and sandals is just looking out for good ol’ Mother Earth. Oh, and they’re making sure they deliver the most distinctive shoe to you at the same time, so go ahead and wear these puppies anywhere all summer long. From the beach to the boat to a fancy dinner around town, you’ll have once-of-a-kind style to go with a little love for your Mama, too.
