Drake has molded himself into one of the most popular rap artists in the world by going against the grain of the typical machismo that’s defined rap and hip hop. I mean, the dude recently said in an interview that he collects luxury designer bags for “the woman I end up with.” The dude is a bleeding heart, a respecter of women, and in the current Hollywood landscape, that is actually a novelty.
During his recent afterparty performance at Marquee nightclub last night in Australia, Drake cut off the hook to “Knock Yourself” to call out a dude who was allegedly groping female fans repeatedly.
“Stop that shit. If you don’t stop touching girls, I’m gonna come out there and fuck you up,” Drake yells to the guy in the crowd. “If you don’t stop putting your hands on girls, I’m gonna come out there and fuck you up.”
Imagine being that dude. Staying up late to attend an after party featuring the rapper you listen to while driving, working out, riding the subway, etc. Then he stops his concert dead in its tracks to ream you out for getting handsy and threatens to beat your ass in front of hundreds of people who are cheering him on. Just ruins your night. Probably your entire holiday season. Can you listen to his songs anymore? Do you go full Team Meek Mill? How does this impact your life going forward? Sounds like a goddamn nightmare to me.
