Jon Snow knows everything and he is sorrier for it. Kit Harington was one of the handful of lucky human beings that know how the Game of Thrones TV series will end, but the blessing was a curse. Harington revealed that he has already read the script for the final season of Game of Thrones and admitted that the ending was so powerful that it caused him to cry.
On Friday, the 30-year-old actor appeared on BBC’s The One Show where he made the emotional revelation. “We had the read-through last week, in fact, so I know everything now,” he said. “I cried at the end! It wasn’t anything particular that happens. You have to remember, I’ve done eight years of it. I think, no-one really cares about it more than us.
If the ending made him cry that’s a good thing right? Or is the ending so disappointing that he sobbed? Harington was in a very sharing mood and admitted that missing the cast of the fantasy show also made him emotional. “I get a bit weepy thinking about it,” Harington said of the final season. “It’s going to be a strange year saying goodbye to everyone and having last scenes with this person and that person. Not only you’re attached to it, loads of people around the world are attached to it.” Unfortunately, Kit didn’t share any actual plot details for the upcoming season.
Filming for Season 8 began this month, but the HBO show will stop production for a day or two in the near future so that the cast and crew can attend Harington and Rose Leslie’s (Ygritte) wedding. Earlier this week Sansa Stark AKA Sophie Turner got engaged to Joe Jonas.
