Yeti Presents
I want you all to meet Sam, an 11-year-old bird dog who marches to the beat of her own drum. Sam’s the focus of this latest mini-doc from ‘Yeti Presents‘. This ol’ girl might work on her own terms but she’s a bird dog through and through. Her owner had all sorts of difficulty training Sam early on but persevered, and now that Sam’s in the Winter of her life her owner wants to give Sam as much hunting time as possible because it’s the thing she loves most (other than her owner).
If you’re a hunter or a dog lover, this clip is for you. And be sure to share this with any other dog people in your life and spread the love. There’s nothing like the bond between a man and his dog, and that’s what we get to see here:
I didn’t expect to get all emotional watching this video but I should’ve suspected it was coming. I grew up with labrador retrievers in the house and they hold a very special place in my heart. Our yellow lab Carrie Rose could spend all day playing fetch/retrieving without breaking a sweat. It’s all she ever wanted to do, and it breaks your hard to have to take the tennis ball away because you can see that she’s 13-years-old and while her mind isn’t tired her body can’t much more.
If you haven’t kept up on all of the ‘Yeti Presents’ videos I highly suggest giving them a watch. This one about ex-pat Carter Andrews living in Costa Rica and fishing every day is one of my favorites. As is this one about the obsession with tarpon fishing because it hits home to me as a native Floridian.
