There’s a chance you’ve heard someone complain that Saturday Night Live isn’t as funny as it used to be. That’s a load of bologna; humor is subjective and, when it comes to sketch comedy, largely subjective of the time it exists in.
A common refrain is that SNL has no edge. You can’t really say that after watching Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s “Meet Your Second Wife,” which is a game show where happily married dudes are confronted with the AWK-WARD circumstance of meeting the person they’ll marry next, sometime down the road of life. It’s some SUPER uncomfortable humor that will make you squirm and cringe, which is why it’s freakin’ great.
Love to see SNL be edgy and go there. More dark humor, SNL. It keeps the world honest.
Now stop whatever you’re doing an send this to your divorced friends.
