Meek Mill finally came to terms with being assassinated by Drake in his widely popular ‘Back to Back’ diss track, which many believe was one of the greatest diss tracks of all-time.

Taxstone, from the hip hop podcast titled Tax Season, got together with Meek and didn’t waste any time in bluntly asking what his thoughts were when Back to Back dropped this past summer in response to Meek’s accusations that Drake doesn’t write enough of his own songs. He acknowledged the track was hot, but then began to skirt around  the issue.

“I ain’t think it was no shit that people was gonna be like, ‘you got killed.’ I thought it was hot.” Meek explained.

Hold on, Meek. I’m going to stop you there. NO ONE thought you got owned on the track. Oh wait…

Meek continued:

“Like when we shoot at niggas, you gotta shoot a nigga through the heart. When you wake up in the mirror, you looking in the mirror, you hearing what the nigga told you, some shit about yourself that you can’t even deal with. That’s how we battle where we come from.

But when Nas and Jay Z battled and niggas was hittin’ at each other. They trying to hit you in your head.”

Taxstone then asked Meek why he didn’t respond, and smartly ended the clip there to get peeps to the into his podcast to find out.

I’d venture to guess that Meek did try to respond but…

Check out Drake’s performance of Back to Back to open OVO Fest last summer. So lit.
