Watch This Badass Dog Save Its Owner From A Sneak Attack By One Of The Most Venomous Snakes In The World

An Australian man who was peacefully kicking back and relaxing on his porch almost breathed his last breath, had it not been for his amazingly alert dog spotting an Eastern brown snake headed straight for its owner.

The speedy snake — who reportedly runs a stunning 3.12 in the 40-yard dash — had the perfect sneak attack in place and was inches away from accomplishing its mission, but the dog’s sudden, frantic sprint to its owner was enough to thwart the threat.

Despite looking like a large, harmless worm, Eastern brown snakes are no joke. They are the second-most venomous terrestrial snake in the world and responsible for more deaths in Australia each year than any other snake, probably because its venom causes PROGRESSIVE PARALYSIS.

So yeah, that heroic dog just saved that dude’s life.

The attentive pup deserves a giant platter of bacon for the rest of the week after such displaying swift, imposing defense.
