42-year-old Deleriyes Joe Cramer, a former Disney child star who acted under the name “Joey Cramer” and had parts in the films Clan of the Cave Bear and Flight of the Navigator, was arrested in British Columbia this past Sunday and charged with robbery, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offense, failing to stop for a peace officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. According to Daily Mail, last Thursday Cramer allegedly robbed a bank and then fled on foot before police could arrive to the scene:
Royal Canadian Mounted Police say that a man entered a Scotiabank in Sechelt wearing a wig, bandanna and sunglasses and demanded a teller hand over money, according to CBC News.
He then fled the scene, but after looking at surveillance footage authorities were able to identify him based on previous encounters with the man.
In a statement about the arrest, Constable Harrison Mohr said that “Despite the fact that a disguise was used during the robbery, the suspect was quickly identified by some of our officers who had recently dealt with him on an unrelated matter. We hope that the community feels safer now that the suspect has been apprehended.”
Cramer remains in custody, however authorities have yet to confirm or deny whether weapons were used during his robbery.
