During most baseball brawls when the batter runs up the mound to attack a pitcher the catcher is usually the first person to back up his teammate.
Giants catcher Buster Posey on the other hand was having none of it yesterday when Bryce Harper rushed Hunter Strickland and started throwing haymakers.

I've now watched that brawl 6x. Buster Posey just chilling at home plate will never not be funny. He didn't GAF. At all.

Posey spoke to the media after the game and explained the reason why he didn’t get involved.

After it happened, I kind of saw Harper point. Next thing you know he’s going after him,” Posey said. “Those are some big guys tumbling around on the ground.”
“You see Mike Morse, is about as big as they come, and he was getting knocked around like a pinball. So, be a little dangerous to get in there sometimes.”
C’mon Buster, you’re going to need a better excuse than that.
