Last Night The Baseball Gods Aligned To Create A ‘Coke-Cain’ Matchup And Twitter Went Nuts

Pablo Escobar was smiling from the afterlife last night as the baseball gods brought together a matchup of ‘Coke vs Cain’ during the Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees game. And much to the chagrin of the anti-drug MLB, Twitter proceeded to have an absolute field day with memes and reactions to the cocaine matchup. First up, let’s check out the screencap that went viral:

When Twitter saw the matchup everyone had to get in their jokes:

Last but not least, my favorite reaction of the night:

If Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer hadn’t tied the MLB record for most strikeouts in a 9 inning game last night with 20 Ks I’m fairly certain this Coke-Cain matchup would’ve been the biggest story in baseball last night. For those of you wondering, the Royals beat the Yankees by a score of 7-3 in front of a lackluster crowd in the Bronx, both teams are below .500 so far on the season.
