Johnny Manziel In More Legal Hot Water, Now Facing A Lawsuit For Allegedly Assaulting A Bar Employee

I suppose if you are Johnny Manziel, considering the amount of time you spend in bars, there is bound to come a time where you do something stupid (allegedly) and someone sues you.

Just a couple of weeks after reaching a tentative deal to have his domestic violence case with his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley dismissed JFF is now facing a lawsuit brought forth by a bar employee in Austin.

Texas Our Texas reports that Manziel is being sued for assault and battery after being accused of breaking a bar employee’s nose during an early morning fight on September 6th at the New York, New York bar in Austin.

The man suing Manziel, Eric Newton, claims that “Mr. Manziel came downstairs, ran behind the bar, cursed at Mr. Newton, and punched him in the face, breaking Mr. Newton’s nose. Mr. Newton grabbed Mr. Manziel to stop the attack, and both fell to the floor. Mr. Manziel then got up and ran out the back staff exit before the police arrived.”

Newton is seeking between $200,000 and $1 million in damages.

Manziel, for his part, tells TMZ that the allegations are “absolutely not true.”

Hard to believe Manziel was once a Heisman Trophy winner and the toast of college football, huh?
