Paul George Addresses Rumors That Say He’ll Be Heading To The LA Lakers Next Season

Paul George is at the top of the impending offseason’s free agency talks. The city of Los Angeles is clamoring to get Paul George to come play for the Lakers. LA is a basketball city, and they need an All-Star like Paul to rally around.

Magic Johnson recently stoked the flames when he talked about trying to get Paul George to come play for LA. So, when Paul appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night it didn’t take long for Jimmy to ask him about Magic’s comments and to start pressuring Paul himself.

For his part, Paul George did a pretty good job at deflecting the Lakers questions. He won’t say whether or not he’ll be playing inside of the Staples Center next season, but he did say that he’ll soon work out with the legendary Kobe Bryant. There’s only one Kobe, and Paul clearly recognizes that. If working out with Kobe means standing in his driveway at 4 am then he’ll be out on the street.

Paul George going to the Lakers next season has been referred to as the ‘worst kept secret in sports’ over the past few months. He was born and raised in the L.A. area and grew up a Lakers fan. The Lakers haven’t done a great job at masking their interest in the 4x NBA All-Star. This seems like a lock.
