Last month University of Missouri Communications Professor Melissa Click was charged for her “we need some muscle over here!” burst of rage when she tried to keep a student reporter from a “no media safe space” during a protest. Now she’s officially been fired from the Mizzou faculty. Amazing it took this long, but — you know — due process and stuff. ‘Murica!
The announcement was made Thursday afternoon during a teleconference with the president of the University of Missouri System, chancellor of the University of Missouri – Columbia, and chairman of the Board of Curators.
The Board of Curators voted Wednesday night in executive session to terminate Click.
Their decision follows an investigation that included the review of documents, videos, interviews with 20 witnesses, and two interviews with Click, herself.
For all those who fervently exercise the 1st Amendment rights and fight for such freedoms, we say “Good riddance, Ms. Click.”
