Everyone and their brother has come up with a bullshit excuse for missing a college class. Professors know your appendix is perfectly fine and that you’re *probably* at the bar with your friends, but they tolerate your B.S. anyway because you’re an adult and you need to learn how to get through life juggling a bunch of bullshit.
This professor, however, was hit with the mother of all valid excuses from a student. A SWAT team situation showed up outside his house, forcing him to stay there for a while.

All time valid excuse. Pretty sure your professor should be OK with the fact there’s a “situation” across the street. Just pay attention to the study guides come finals time.
