2018 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Nominees Announced

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its nominees for the 2018 class, and there are some pretty legendary artists and bands who made the cut. There were 19 performers and bands who made the list including some outstanding first-time nominees such as Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Kate Bush, Dire Straits, Eurythmics, Judas Priest, the Moody Blues, Nina Simone, and Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Other nominees include Bon Jovi (2nd nomination), Depeche Mode (2nd nomination), the Cars (3rd nomination), J. Geils Band (5th nomination), LL Cool J (4th nomination), MC5 (3rd nomination), the Meters (4th nomination), Rufus featuring Chaka Khan (2nd nomination), Link Wray (2nd nomination), and the Zombies (3rd nomination).

To be eligible for the 2018 ballot, each nominee’s first single or album had to be released in 1992 or earlier. The artists and bands with the most amount of votes will be announced in December and inducted on April 14, 2018, at the induction ceremony at Public Hall in Cleveland. HBO will broadcast the induction ceremony later in the year.
