In recent months, there’s been a noticeable spike in the number of concertgoers and musical artists who’ve been unable to resist the urge to throw something at another person during a show—and that list now includes 50 Cent.

Most of those aforementioned incidents have stemmed from fans who’ve failed to prevent their intrusive thoughts from winning.

Drake seems to enjoy the trend that started when someone threw a giant bra onstage at the end of July, but Pink was understandably confused when she was informed a fan tossed a bag of their mother’s ashes her way and Bebe Rexha had to cut a show short and head to the hospital after getting drilled in the head by a cellphone.

Cardi B, on the other hand, opted to retaliate when someone threw a drink at her during a concert in Las Vegas in August by responding in kind with the microphone she was holding (the contractor who supplied the equipment for the show seized on a golden opportunity by listing it on eBay in an auction where it fetched close to $100,000).

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper was initially charged with battery before the case was dropped, and it’s safe to assume 50 Cent is hoping to slide in a similar manner after ending up in hot water thanks to what transpired at a concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

According to TMZ, the man born Curtis Jackson ran into some audio issues during his performance, and those frustrations apparently caught up to him based on a video that captured him absolutely hurling a microphone into the audience near the left side of the stage.

The outlet reports the mic struck Power 106 radio host Bryhana Monegain in the head and forced her to seek medical treatment for the cuts she suffered as a result.

The woman opted to file a police report, and law enforcement officials confirmed 50 could be hit with felony battery charges if they determine there’s enough evidence to pursue the case.
