Pink Left Baffled After Fan Throws Mother’s Ashes On Stage During Concert

Based on the number of legendary rock stars who’ve shared stories about being pelted with women’s undergarments while performing in concert, it’s safe to say throwing items at your favorite musicians while they’re performing isn’t exactly a new trend.

With that said, as Bebe Rexha recently learned the hard way, there’s been a spike in the number of artists who’ve needed to keep their heads on a swivel for some slightly more valuable (and dangerous) items that concertgoers have decided to chuck their way.

A diehard Harry Styles fan was able to get the singer to snap a picture after throwing their phone at him during a show last year, but Bad Bunny was a bit less accommodating when he found himself on the receiving end of some similar treatment (Chris Brown also made it very clear that he does not appreciate people who pull out their phone after inviting them onstage for a lap dance).

However, those items have nothing on what Pink was forced to grapple with during a recent appearance at the British Summer Time Festival in London.

Pink burst onto the scene around the turn of the millennium with the help of “Lady Marmalade” and “Get the Party Started,” and the 43-year-old has apparently attracted some pretty diehard followers over the course of her lengthy career.

That presumably includes one fan who is no longer with us but who was nonetheless able to crash the concert over the weekend, as a video that was captured during the show showed Pink crouching down on the stage before picking up a bag containing the ashes of the mother of the person who’d thrown them and saying “I don’t know how I feel about this.”

I can’t say I know what it’s like to have someone throw a bag of their mom’s ashes at you while you’re doing your job, but I think that’s a pretty reasonable response considering the circumstances.
