Back in October, Ring offered $1 million to any of their customers who were able to film an alien using one of their home security devices’ cameras.

While this sounds crazy, it has been known to happen from time to time.

For example, a video of a pale “humanoid” figure caught creeping around out side of a home on a security camera in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky in July 2022.

Another would be video captured on home security camera of a “huge, 747 size” UFO caught passing over a home in Irving, Texas on October 19, 2020.

“Whether it’s a video of an extraterrestrial walking (or flying?) up your driveway and asking for directions or an unidentifiable lifeform exhibiting unusual and extraordinary behavior in your backyard — submit your best footage!” Ring said in a press release announcing the contest.

The contest, called the “Million Dollar Search for Extraterrestrials,” required all of the alien videos to be submitted to Ring by Nov. 3, 2023.

Which means we now have access to some of the videos that were entered into the contest.

It also means that all of the videos will be reviewed by a “Space and Extraterrestrial Expert” to determine their authenticity.

Pretty sure none of the videos Ring has been released to the public so far qualify as authentic, but they certainly are entertaining.

“There are so many that I’ve seen that have just been incredibly creative and fun,” said Ring’s chief revenue officer, Mimi Swain.

Ring has yet to announce the winner, at least on their website, but it should happen soon.

“We have gotten a number of submissions that our expert is reviewing,” Swain said.

Who knows? Maybe someone did actually capture an alien on camera. Perhaps that’s why the winner hasn’t been announced yet? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

If none of the alien videos are proven to be authentic and no one wins the top prize of $50,000 a year for 20 years, everyone who entered will still be eligible for chance to win one of five $500 Amazon gift cards.
