If you’ve been on Twitter in the past 24 hours you’ve almost certainly seen a tweet that went something like ‘with all this insane news happening can we all stop for one second and talk about the aliens?’ I’ve seen at least 50 different iterations of this tweet already, and it’s a legitimate claim. There’s so much news happening at every hour of the day that we haven’t even had a chance to talk about The Pentagon acknowledging a secret program which investigates the existence of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) or the Navy pilot who claims to have seen an alien UFO in 2004 off the coast of California.
The secret Pentagon program was named the ‘US Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ and it was previously run by Luis Elizondo. It was a $22 million project, which is a relatively small budget compared to most things at The Pentagon, but it also had to fly under the radar from the public. Last weekend, news of this program’s existence broke after Luis Elizondo spoke out. The program’s funding was cut in 2012 and he resigned from the Department of Defense this past October, but he’s now saying there’s evidence that aliens have already visited earth.
Here’s what Mr. Elizondo told CNN:
My personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone.
‘These aircraft – we’ll call them aircraft – are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of.
‘Things that don’t have any obvious flight services, any obvious forms of propulsion, and maneuvering in ways that include extreme maneuverability beyond, I would submit, the healthy G-forces of a human or anything biological.’ (via)
His claims are bolstered by this story in the Washington Post shared by a former Navy pilot who claims to have seen an actual UFO off the coast of California back in 2004. There’s even footage of the encounter below:
Fravor, the commanding officer of a Navy squadron at the time, said he saw a flying object about the size of his plane that looked like a Tic Tac after a break in a routine training mission. The object moved rapidly and unlike any other thing he had ever seen in the air. He has not forgotten it since.
The encounter Fravor described was analyzed by the recent Defense Department program, he said, but its most significant questions — the nature of the object and what it was doing — have also remained unanswered.
Fravor says he is certain about one thing: “It was a real object, it exists and I saw it,” he said in a phone interview on Monday, as he described the sighting, on Nov. 14, 2004. (via)

Is this it? Is this the moment in history when we can say that aliens are real, UFOs exist, and they have already visited planet earth? Are you willing to take the word of a former Navy pilot that the UFO flew off the coast of California? Is the existence of a secret Pentagon program investigating UFOs enough to convince you that the credible threat of aliens on planet earth already exists? Or do you need to see aliens with your own two eyes before you’re willing to admit that we’ve already been visited by extraterrestrials?
