Amazon Worker Calls Out Customers Who Keep Ordering This 1 Item—It’s Really Annoying: ‘Stop Ordering This’

Being an Amazon delivery driver is already physically demanding. But one worker says customers who order one particularly heavy item are making the job even worse: cases of bottled water.

TikToker @paperrfr singled out customers ordering Essentia alkaline water after finding himself hauling a large case around in the back of his delivery van on a 93-degree day.

“Stop ordering this,” he told viewers before pointing out another reason customers might want to reconsider having bottled water delivered in extreme heat: The back of his van, he claimed, was around 110 degrees.

“To the people who keep ordering this f—— water from Amazon,” he said, panning the camera to a large box of Essentia water. “I’m gonna tell you a thing or two. The back of this truck is not air conditioned. It’s 110 back here and it’s f—— 93 outside.”

He then questioned whether Essentia’s touted 9.5 pH matters very much after plastic bottles have spent hours sitting in such high temperatures.

“Um, so, you know, your 9.5ph isn’t really doing s— when the plastic has leached into the water. So enjoy those micro plastic[s],” he added., before quipping: “And here’s a bonus. Do you guys scan at the door or in the back of the truck?”

The video has garnered 123,000 views. BroBible reached out to the TikToker via TikTok direct message.

Viewers Question Amazon’s Working Conditions

Some could relate to the TikToker.

“I f—— HAATTEEE whoever is f—— ordering water, cat litter, weights and large bottles of liquid like laundry detergent or degreaser,” one complained.

“It’s always 3 f—— boxes of it to0,” a second said.

Others were more concerned with the working conditions this TikToker was faced with, as a third wrote: “How Amazon treat their workers is beyond reprehensible.”

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “I feel bad for everyone who thinks their tap water is unsafe because of fear mongering water filter advertising.”

However, others were less concerned about the prospect of microplastics, with a fifth saying: “it’s the same when you buy it at the store. those trucks are not air conditioned either so regardless your plastic water bottles have been exposed to high heat during summer months.”

Why Do People Drink Essentia Water?

Essentia ‘Overachieving’ H2O is a brand of alkaline water. On its website, it is marketed as being 99.9% “pure,” with a 9.5pH or higher. It also boasts electrolytes and a “smooth taste.”

As reported by W magazine back in 2021, Essentia water has become something of a status symbol in recent years. Among its most high-profile drinkers is the Kardashian family, with the brand often appearing in photos and videos.

But beyond its lofty promises and looking cool, is the beverage even worth it? Reddit isn’t so sure. After one user posted about the drink in the r/skeptic subreddit, hoping it would help urinary tract issues, users let rip.

“No matter what the PH is it’s a scam,” one claimed. “All you’re doing is forcing your body to make more stomach acid to rebalance the PH. If alkaline water did anything to the PH of your body it would make you sick. The human body needs a PH between 7.35 and 7.45 for proper function.”

Another succinctly added: “Alkaline water, meet 2.5pH stomach acid.”

Similarly, a third said: “Alkaline water is a scam. If you have urinary issues consult a medical professional.”

This matches up with expert advice on MayoClinic, with the website claiming that alkaline water isn’t much better than normal water. While alkaline water may have added minerals such as calcium and magnesium, and some studies have purported it can help diseases related to strokes and cancer, ultimately “more research is needed to prove these claims.”
