Dakota Johnson wasn't convinced that OG Anunoby is a real person
Anne Hathaway has had herself quite a year. Not only has she starred in five films — one of which was the nearly $2 billion-grossing The Odyssey, a role that’ll likely earn her another Oscar nomination — but her two most beloved sports teams, the New York Knicks and Arsenal Football Club, won their respective championships.
Even prior to the New York Knicks’ storybook run to the NBA title this year, Anne Hathaway was a huge fan of the team and would often be spotted at Madison Square Garden.
The Academy Award-winning actress’ favorite player on the team is OG Anunoby, who produced the defining play of the NBA Finals and one of the most iconic plays in NBA history with his game-winning putback with 1.2 seconds left in Game 4.
Anne Hathaway had to convince her Verity co-stars Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett that OG Anunoby is a real person
Anyone who is a sports fan has surely seen the play at some point over the summer. Hathaway’s Verity co-stars Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, however, evidently aren’t avid sports fans and hilariously needed convincing that Anunoby is a real person.
The Verity co-stars, along with Josh Hartnett, appeared on a First We Feast segment promoting the film, where they played a guessing game called “Wildcard.” Hathaway drew the name OG Anunoby, prompting Hartnett to struggle to describe him while a bemused Johnson doubted his existence.
Omg this is too funny. Dakota Johnson doesn’t think OG Anunoby is a real person 😂 Anne Hathaway tries to explain and Dakota pretends to be interested lol https://t.co/JoIeodplXM

Anunoby recently gifted Hathaway a signed jersey, which Jimmy Fallon presented her with on The Tonight Show, where she said she’d take a second Knicks title over a second Oscar.
