The first trailer for Anyone But You, the upcoming rom-com starring Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) has been released by Sony Pictures.

In the edgy comedy Anyone But You, Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell) look like the perfect couple, but after an amazing first date something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold – until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia. So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple.
Anyone But You made quite a few headlines over the summer due to the chemistry — whether genuine or engineered for the film — between Sweeney and Powell.
In fact, following some unconfirmed rumors that the pair had an affair, Powell and his model girlfriend Gigi Paris split up. At this time, however, it is unclear whether their split was connected to those rumors.
Directed by Will Gluck, the filmmaker behind movies such as Easy A and Friends With Benefits, Anyone But You also stars Alexandra Shipp, GaTa, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, Darren Barnet, and Rachel Griffiths alongside the featured duo of Sweeney and Powell.
Both Sweeney and Powell are two of the fast-rising stars in Hollywood these days, as the pair both have a bevy of projects due out in the next few years.
In addition to Anyone But You, Powell will also be starring in Richard Linklater’s Hit Man alongside Adria Ajorna later this year. He’s also attached to the Twister sequel Twisters, which is currently in post-production, and a film titled Most Dangerous Game.
As for Sweeney, her next film role after Anyone But You will be in the Sony Spider-Man Universe film Madame Web, in which she’ll play Julia Carpenter/Spider-Woman. Sweeney is also set to star in films such as Barbarella, Echo Valley, and Immaculate, and the eventual third season of Euphoria, in the coming years.
