Texas Woman Goes To Applebee’s. Then She Smashes Her Hand Into Her Jello Shot—And It Does Something Shocking

A Texas Applebee’s customer ordered Jello shots and had trouble getting them out of their container. She decided to smash her hand on it and noticed something weird about the texture.

In a video with over 2.6 million views, TikToker Ness (@nessasanchez) dumps the red Jello shot onto the surface of the Applebee’s table. As it falls out, it barely jiggles as it hits the table.

She takes her palm and smacks it on the table. But instead of bursting, it barely squishes. Instead, the Jello shot appears hard, which would make it impossible to eat as expected.

On-screen text reads, “Applebees… come on now.”

Can You Get Jello Shots At Applebee’s?

Some viewers weren’t as concerned with the consistency of the Jello shot, instead sharing that they had no clue Applebee’s served the popular party treat in the first place. Even some Applebee’s workers say they were shocked to see the Jello shot.

“I didn’t even know we sold jell-o shots,” one remarked.

“I only know we just started the don julio pool promo. where tf jell-o shots come from?” a second worker asked.

However, only some Applebee’s locations serve Jello shots. The availability may depend on what the bar has in stock or if it’s a special event. The Applebee’s website doesn’t share information about Jello shots on the menu.

Customers on the r/alcohol subreddit suggested that some locations offer Jello shots as part of their $1 drink promotions, which include select cocktails.

Viewers React To The Hard Jello Shot

Commenters joked about the firm consistency of the Jello shot, which makes it inedible. A few pointed out that the texture is likely the result of the Jello shot left out for too long or from the bartender using too much gelatin.

“That’s a f—— melatonin gummy,” a viewer quipped.

“When did they start selling wax melts?” another asked.

“Jelloshot from damn 2008,” a third suggested.

Some questioned why the TikToker would order Jello shots from Applebee’s in the first place.

“I didn’t know you could get jello shots anywhere but a dive bar or someone’s scary house,” a commenter wrote.

“Hitting a new low ordering Jell-O shots at Apple bee’s,” a second said. 

However, other viewers came to her defense, saying they would do the same.

“Girl if I saw Jell-O shots on any menu at all I would order don’t let them shame you,” one said in a comment liked by the TikToker.

Another viewer added, “Why is everyone so mad lmao I would also order Jell-O shots if they were on the menu! This is more of a jello puck though.”
