Man Goes To Applebee’s For $15.99 All-You-Can-Eat. Then He Finds Out The Catch

Applebee’s brought back its famed all-you-can-eat menu on May 11. For $15.99, customers can eat endless boneless wings, riblets, and double crunch shrimp. However, one customer says there’s a pretty big catch.

TikToker Christopher (@christophergambin46), who has over 36,000 followers, went to the restaurant to order off the all-you-can-eat menu. He was pretty disappointed with the fine print of the deal.

“The problem with the all-you-can-eat right now is that you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes in between each one that you order,” a frustrated Christopher says in his video, which garnered over 700,000 views.

Is Applebee’s All-You-Can-Eat Really Unlimited?

Christopher claims that customers only get one plate at a time when they purchase Applebee’s $15.99 all-you-can-eat menu options. That limited Christopher’s ability to maximize the deal, as he says his server only brought him “two plates” in an hour.

So, yes, while the deal is truly unlimited, customers have to come to the restaurant pretty hungry and be prepared to stay for quite some time.

A representative from an Applebee’s in San Antonio, Texas, confirmed to BroBible that—at least at their location—customers can only order one plate per round when they order off the all-you-can-eat menu.

It’s unclear if customers have to wait 15 to 20 minutes in between each order even if, say, they finish their appetizer in five minutes. Christopher likely had to wait that long for his server to return, put in the next order, and deliver it to his table.

Applebee’s policies are pretty standard. Most chain restaurants that offer an all-you-can-eat model have customers finish their food before they are allowed to move on to the next round. This not only prevents food waste but also saves money. For example, when Olive Garden reintroduced its famous “never-ending pasta” in 2022, it was promoted as a value deal. However, customers would have to eat roughly three bowls of pasta to get their money’s worth, but most ended up filling up before they could get to their third bowl.
