Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Fubar, a new action series that stars the action movie legend Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first-ever TV role.

The series — which comes from The Sopranos, Prison Break, and Reacher writer Nick Santora — will hit Netflix in the United States on May 25.

Given how brief the teaser is, not much is known about the series other than the fact that it’s got Schwarzenegger doing his thing for the first time since 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate.

Here is the brief synopsis for Fubar, via Netflix:

From creator Nick Santora (Reacher, Prison Break): A CIA operative on the verge of retirement discovers a family secret. Forced to go back into the field for one last job, FUBAR tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humor.

Alongside Schwarzenegger — following in the footsteps of similar Hollywood icons Sylvester Stallone and Harrison Ford, who also recently starred in their first-ever TV shows (Paramount+’s Tulsa King and 1923, respectively) — Fubar stars Monica Barbaro, Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brielle, Barbara Eve Harris, Fabiana Udenio and Gabriel Luna.

Despite his recent absence from the spotlight, Schwarzenegger has kept busy since finishing his tenure as California governor back in 2011, starring in projects such as The Expendables franchise, Escape Plan, Sabotage, Aftermath, Maggie, two Terminator films, and Kung Fury 2.
