Georgia Bartender Starts Doing Tricks With A Shaker. Then He Accidentally Lets Go: ‘As A Bartender This Is My Worst Fear’

A Georgia woman went with her roommate to a company party at a local bar. She got splashed in the face with a cocktail when the bartender slipped up.

In a video with over 319,000 views, TikToker Haydan (@haydannnnnn) shows security footage from the shocking moment.

She sits at the bar, talking to a friend, as the bartender shakes up a cocktail. The metal shaker slips from his hands and flies toward her face, dumping the entire drink on her.

The bartender covers his face in disbelief, and Haydan wipes the alcohol from her eyes. The caption reads, “Throwback to when I had a shaker thrown at my face. Story of my life!”

Bartenders Cringe At The Accidental Splash

In the comments of the viral video, other bartenders called the situation their “worst nightmare.” Some said they avoid shaking cocktails too enthusiastically to avoid an unintentional splash.

“This is why I don’t do flare,” one bartender joked.

Another remarked, “Where i work we call the seats in front of the well the splash zone but ive never seen this level of a splash.”

“This is literally my worst fear when I’m shaking an espresso martini, I would literally clock out,” a third said.

On the r/bartenders subreddit, others shared the horrifying moment they accidentally drenched a customer with a drink.

“Spilled 3 drinks one after another on the same guy my first day working as a server,” a bartender admitted.

“We were passing champagne and he accidentally spilled a whole tray of glasses on one guy at a table,” a second said. “Filled up another tray to finish the table. Spilled the whole second tray on the same guy.”

“Dropped an ice tea in a priests lap. Party of 46 priests. I was so embarrassed. I rushed for napkins to help clean.. something came over me and I looked up at him and said ‘at least I know you have to forgive me,'” a third joked.

Did The Bartender Cover Her Tab?

In a follow-up video, Haydan shares that the restaurant covered her entire tab and apologized for the splash. She decided to go home to change but even came back to the same bar before heading to her next location.

“I still tipped him,” she says. “I just went home and changed and it was fine. I did have espresso martini in my hair the whole night.”

The bartender even won a gag award from other restaurant staff: “Most likely to throw a drink on a bar guest.” She explains that her roommate actually works at the restaurant, and the bartender was a guest brought in to serve the regular staff for their party.

“But yeah, it was fine. He was really sweet,” she says.
