Netflix has released the first trailer for season six of Black Mirror, which hasn’t been on the air since 2019. Needless to say, quite a lot has changed since then, which gives the famously dystopian series plenty of topics to choose from in this upcoming batch of episodes.

Originally premiering in the United Kingdom back in 2011, Black Mirror became a global hit thanks to Netflix, which has since produced seasons three, four, five, and six.

In addition to the new teaser trailer, Netflix also dropped some images from the upcoming season of Black Mirror.

Here is the brief and vague synopsis for season six of Black Mirror, via Netflix:

You’ve been wondering. You’ve been waiting. You’ve been warned. The sixth season of Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror is BACK. The most unpredictable, unclassifiable and unexpected season yet is arriving in June on NETFLIX.

Season six of Black Mirror features Aaron Paul, Anjana Vasan, Annie Murphy, Ben Barnes, Daniel Portman, Danny Ramirez, Himesh Patel, John Hannah, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Michael Cera, Myha’la Herrold, Paapa Essiedu, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Zazie Beetz.

Created by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror has won three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Television Movie for its episodes “San Junipero”, “USS Callister” and the standalone, interactive movie Bandersnatch.

Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars have been featured in Black Mirror, as past seasons have featured the likes of Jon Hamm, Anthony Mackie, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jesse Plemons, Daniel Kaluuya, Wyatt Russell, Letitia Wright, Cristin Milioti, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Hayley Atwell, Michaela Coel, and more.

The latest batch of Black Mirror episodes will hit Netflix in June. Black Mirror is one of many big releases that Netflix currently has for June, as the month will also see the release of the Chris Hemsworth-starring action flick Extraction 2, which will hit the streaming service on June 16.
