Blake Lively is seeking to have Justin Baldoni repay her legal fees
Actress Blake Lively is asking a judge to have It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni pay her over $8 million to cover the fees she incurred during the pair’s litigation. Lively is specifically asking for $8,035,040.88
Blake Lively’s request for the $8 million comes after it was reported earlier this year that she and Justin Baldoni spent a combined $60 million during the course of their legal battle.

“Lively respectfully requests the Court award her reasonable attorneys’ fees of $7,495,526.87 and costs in the amount of $539,514.01,” Lively’s legal team wrote in a court filing reviewed by TMZ.
Baldoni’s lawyers have until July 13 to either agree to footing the bill or challenge it in court.
The lawsuits began in December 2024 when Lively filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department alleging that Baldoni, his production company and PR team in It Ends With Us sexually harassed her and orchestrated a smear campaign against her during the film’s press tour.
In response, Baldoni countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane for $400 million on allegations of extortion and defamation, while simultaneously suing the New York Times for libel over its reporting on the dispute — both of which were dismissed in June 2025.
Earlier this year, prior to the start of their trial, a judge tossed out 10 of Lively’s 13 allegations, leading the two sides to settle just two weeks before the trial was set to begin in May. In the settlement, neither side received money nor an apology.
