Even if you don’t think you could get on the ground and do 100 pushups at once I’m pretty certain that most of you could do 100 pushups across the span of a day. But could you do 100 pushups for seven straight days? And could you do 50 pullups every day on top of that? If you could, what would your body transformation expectations be?

Personally, the pushups wouldn’t be problematic for me but I might struggle with the pullups. I’ve never been great at pullups and it’s probably because I could lose a couple of pounds to fit my frame better.

This clip from YouTuber ‘Pigmie’ (Lucas Buckingham) is really more about showing how to get simple and fast results by doing the work. It’s also a great example of how to supercharge your interest in working out by starting your proverbial run with a sprint. He did 100 pushups and 50 pullups every day for a week and tracked his progress.

The side-by-side results aren’t drastically different. He does look more fit after a week but as he tells it, Pigmie feels a lot better and stronger after a week of doing this. And now using his new strength and fitness as a jumping-off point he can grind even harder. Here’s the clip. The side-by-side results can be seen around the 12-minute mark if you want to jump ahead:

It’s hard to judge how this would translate to my body. Clearly, pigmie/Lucas Buckingham was already in great shape to begin with. But he still got some great results after just one week of grinding hard. Here’s what a professional weightlifter and YouTuber looks like after one week of 100 pushups and 50 pullups every day:

Now if that was me, a guy who rarely lifts weights but does cardio 5 or 6 days a week and could still do more cardio because he’s not seeing the results he wants, I bet the body transformation would be much more drastic.

The quickest way to see results from working out is to define some goals. Write out a rigorous workout schedule and stick to it. Don’t go into a life-altering fitness quest blindly. Set some goals to give yourself something to work towards.
