The First Full Trailer For The Insanely-Titled ‘Borat’ Sequel Is Here

Amazon

Just stunning. Over the course of a month, we’ve gone from not even knowing about the existence of a new Borat, to seeing Sasha Baron Cohen drive down a highway in full costume, to getting a full-blown trailer and a release date that’s just three weeks away. Baron Cohen’s ability to create projects in secret has always been impressive, but what he’s pulled off here with The Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (yes, that’s the actual title) is nothing short of astounding.

It’s clear from the title and the trailer that Baron Cohen is, once again, targeting conservative types, as he did in the original Borat and the Showtime series Who Is America?. The Republican Party features heavily in the trailer itself, as Borat — in a Donald Trump costume — appears to make his way into a Mike Pence speech with his “daughter” over his shoulder.

Not only that, but there are *rumors* that “Cohen’s character will get into in the film including an interview with Rudy Giuliani where the police were reportedly called, as well as the comedian provoking members of a pro-guns rally in Olympia, Washington”, according to The Illuminerdi. This certainly sounds like a legitimate Borat skit, as it harkens back to his appearance at a Virginia rodeo in the original film, Borat! Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

The Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan  will hit Amazon Prime Video on Friday, October 23 — just a little more than a week before Election Day on November 3.
